Heavy on black, the designer
kept his collection luxe with crisp menswear-inspired suiting, vibrantly
colored fur separates (notably skirts, jackets, and vests), skin-grazing bronze
trousers, and beautiful skirts including knotted ones and one inspired by a
blazer.
Jean Paul Gaultier’s tailored
Fall 2012 collection was nothing if not sophisticated. It may have been
inspired by grunge, rock-n-roll, and graffiti. As for the 80s-style graffiti
print, it made its way onto a slew of separates and dresses, most notably a
pair of trousers with metallic graffiti on the top that slowly transitioned
into black — let's hope there are enough cool girls to do them justice.
